For theatre and dance schools
Presence always tilts to the same side.
Anyone on stage feels it immediately: one side leads and one follows, one profile that «works» and one that seems switched off. Usually the work is on expression or intention. Here we work earlier: on which side movement is born from.
What the audience sees, without knowing what it sees
An actor who always enters with the same foot becomes predictable before speaking. A dancer who always turns the same way has half a repertoire that shines and half that struggles. And the audience can’t say why: they only sense that something is more alive on one side.
It isn’t a matter of talent or technique: it’s a motor habit formed long before drama school, which nobody has ever brought to light. And it’s exactly what can be worked on.
Two ways into the school
They can run separately or together: the first works on the courses you have, the second opens an extra service for students who want to go deeper.
A co-led workshop
I enter your classes alongside the teacher, who receives specific training: after the workshop they can recognise which side a student’s movement starts from and know what to propose. I ask for no new hours: the module grafts onto the lessons you already run.
One-to-one or small-group sessions
A space to welcome those who want to go deeper: ninety minutes on that person’s gesture, their entrance, their turn. The audience stays inside the school and revenue is shared.
I don’t teach acting, and I don’t teach dance
It’s the first thing I say, because it’s the first worry of anyone running a school. I don’t touch interpretation, voice, choreography or technique: those stay your teachers’ craft. What I bring is movement education: a layer beneath, that usually nobody looks at.
The method comes from research built to be tested, with observable markers and falsifiable hypotheses. It isn’t therapy and it isn’t exercise. The research, with the documents →
What the school gains
New vocabulary for an old problem
«It doesn’t come from that side» stops being a personal limitation and becomes something observable, with a way to work on it.
The competence stays in the school
Teachers are trained: after the workshop they recognise the leading side and know which exercise to propose, even without me.
A module that sets you apart
It’s something other schools don’t offer, and it tells well to anyone choosing where to enrol.
No disruption
The workshop enters existing lessons, in the slots and spaces you already have.
This is how we start
A free demo workshop, in a class you choose.
No quote before you’ve seen something. I come to one of your classes, run the workshop alongside the teacher, and you watch how the students respond. Forty-five minutes are enough for someone to say «I had never noticed»: that’s where you understand whether it makes sense to continue.
Let’s Talk
Write me two lines: what kind of school you are, which courses you run and in which time slot we could try. I reply within twenty-four hours.
